Work Background:

picture FloraFlora has spent the majority of her professional career working with diverse communities and is extremely passionate about community-based social justice work. She has worked as a consultant with a number of Latino-led nonprofit organizations in Minnesota, and most recently, played an instrumental role with the Minnesota Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities, a 12 member Collaborative formed by Hispanics in Philanthropy. Prior to that, she was the Program Manager for the Women's Foundation of California in San Francisco where she managed the Women's Policy Institute, a model program aimed at training community-based women leaders on the legislative process in California and the Smart Cookie Scholarship, a scholarship trust created for first generation Latino immigrant youth.

Academic Degrees:
Flora earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a minor in Spanish.
